Dr Lee Ser Yee is an established liver surgeon with over 10 years of experience managing and treating liver diseases. Dr Lee specialises in the treatment of liver and bile duct cancer, and is a key opinion leader in the use of fluorescence imaged-guided surgical techniques for liver surgery.
He started his medical training at the National University of Singapore in 1996 and completed his training in General Surgery and HPB surgery at SGH. He also completed dual USA-fellowships in Advanced Laparoscopic HPB surgery under Professor Daniel Cherqui at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center and a Complex Surgical Oncology clinical fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Dr Lee is passionate about training and education and was an Associate Professor in Duke-NUS Medical School and a Senior Clinical Lecturer in NUS. He has also chaired and conducted many advanced surgical courses and has been invited to give lectures at many conferences worldwide.
A founding and committee member of the Singapore HPB Association (HPBA-S), Dr Lee also served on the committees of the International HPB Association (IHPBA), College of Surgeons, Singapore, Chapter of General Surgeons, Singapore. He is the current President of the Singapore Hepato-pancreato-biliary Association.
Dr Lee has authored more than 200 scientific publications with more than 4600 citations and a H-index of 34, including top journals such as Annals of Surgery and written 2 surgical books and 70 book chapters.
He has led as the Principal and Co-investigator for several local and international clinical studies, culminating in over $1 million in competitive grants. He currently sits on the Editorial and Reviewer Board for more than 30 international medical journals.
